Sequenza Numerica is a lyrical series of artworks where rhythms of colour and form emerge following a set of geometric and arithmetic rules. The rules can generate simple or sumptuously complex works.
The Rule - A sequence of squares is drawn and then divided into rows. The rows are then subdivided, starting from the top row each subsequent row doubles the number of units. Sequential numbers are placed on the top row, each subsequent row starts with the next number in the sequence.
The Outcome – Patterns and rhythms emerge within the works.
The Presentation - In the graphic presentations numbers are substituted for colours.
