Dalla Luce all'oscurità is a series of hand drawn artworks searching for beauty in the unique Euclidean geometry of the hexagonal shape.

The Rule - A set of lines is drawn at 0, 60, 120, 180, 240 & 360 degrees within the hexagon. Another set of lines is drawn at 30, 90, 150, 210, 270 & 330 degrees. Lines are added at the halfway distance between existing lines to create new designs. Each design is composed of a combination of 5, 9, 17, 33 and 65 lines.

The Outcome – Patterns and Moiré effects emerge from the combinations of overlapping lines.

The Presentation – Series of work are generated sequentially recording and classifying the results of the rule.
