Crystallo

Material: Digital Drawings

Size: Dimensions Variable

Crystallo is a series of artworks exploring how overlapping polygons and number systems can create images of optical joy.

A Polygon is drawn within the perimeter of a circle, where each point of the polygon touches the perimeter of the circle a point is marked and a line drawn back to the centre of the circle. Only the first segment of the polygon is kept and the rest removed. The process is repeated by overlapping a polygon with double the number of sides, now only the second segment is kept. The process is then continued.

Each work is the visual representation of numerical progression and each work is a numerical progression within the series which is indefinite.
