Named after the Ancient Greek City of Delphi, The Delphi Side Table is a study in the elemental beauty of Euclidean Geometry and Classical Greek Architecture.

The Delphi Side Table is formed from a Triacontadigon sitting on a Hexadecagon which in turn sits on an Octagon, all three then sit on a Square.

Conceived as a sculptural entity so that within a landscape or interior the elegance of the table's proportions and the effects of light on its surfaces can be viewed from all angles. The ever-changing light of the day casts graded shadows and changes in colour across the sculpted form of the table.

The Delphi Side Table is exquisitely handmade in the UK, carved from a single block of Broadcroft Whitbed Portland Stone by a master Stonemason using classical Greek carving techniques.

The Broadcroft Whitbed Portland Stone is quarried from Broadcroft quarry which lies on the eastern side of the Isle of Portland, Dorset, England. Portland Stone is a limestone formation from the Tithonian stage of the Jurassic period. Stone has been quarried on Portland since Roman times and was being shipped to London in the 14th century. It has been used extensively as a building stone throughout the British Isles, notably in major public buildings in London such as St Paul’s Cathedral and Buckingham Palace. Broadcroft Quarry is also home to Broadcroft Quarry Nature Reserve The reserve features a wide range of plants and animals – mainly insects, also hosting flora and fauna specific to limestone soil.
