Vórtice is a series of artworks exploring how number theory can create images of ravishing beauty and optical joy.
The Rule - A periodic sequence of consecutive numbers of even length is placed on a grid and follow a spiral pattern from top left to the centre of the grid.
The Outcome - When this rule is followed no same number is ever placed next to each other on the grid. This outcome is true for every multiple of even number from 2 to infinity. When the same rule is applied to odd numbers the outcome is not true.
The Presentation - In the graphic presentations of the rule numbers are substituted for colours.
